Zahara Marley Jolie Pitt was born on January 8, 2005, in Awassa, Ethiopia. She is the daughter of actor Brad Pitt and actress and activist Angelina Jolie. At the time of her birth, she was named Yemsrach. Unfortunately, her parents both died shortly after her birth, and she was soon adopted by Pitt and Jolie. She has made appearances in two of her mother's films, Maleficent and Kung Fu Panda 3. Zahara has also shown a strong interest in fashion and has recently designed a capsule jewelry collection, the proceeds of which will go to charity.

The stones are emerald cut and are just beautiful, especially considering that they were designed by such a young girl.

The collection features pink and white quartz stones and was designed with the help of Robert Procop. Procop is a well-known designer and also a family friend. He worked closely with Zahara to help her realize her ideas into jewelry. And it appears that the philanthropic apple doesn't fall too far from the tree, as Zahara made arrangements for all proceeds of her jewelry sales to go to charity. The pieces went on sale in November through a partnership with Saks Fifth Avenue. Zahara has chosen the charity House of Ruth Shelters to be the beneficiary of this project. House of Ruth Shelters is a charity that operates transitional housing for both women and children who are escaping from domestic violence and abuse. 

It is truly impressive that someone as young as Zahara is using her status to help others and to raise awareness of the important work that the House of Ruth Shelters does. Of course, philanthropy is an important part of their parents' lives, and it is likely that their good works have rubbed off on all of their children. Angelina is known for her work with refugees and the United Nations, and her children have often accompanied her on some of her mission trips.

Current Projects

At age 14, Zahara has already appeared in two films and has her own jewelry design business. Of course, her main priority at her current age is her education. The Jolie Pitt children are reportedly homeschooled which gives the family the necessary flexibility to travel and experience the world first hand. Zahara has shown a keen interest in fashion, and it would not be surprising if she pursued that career path.
