While the family had already been well known by many, the Kardashian-Jenner family wasn’t really a mainstream name until the mid 2000s. That’s when the family was featured on reality television for the first time, making stars out of the younger members of the family. The youngest of the group is Kylie Jenner, who has gone on to achieve a lot of business success to the point where she became a billionaire in her early 20s.

Jenner, much like the other members of her family, was born in Los Angeles. She became the youngest member of the immediate family on August 10, 1997, having seven older half or full siblings. She was just 10 years old when “Keeping Up with the Kardashians” made it to air for the first time, meaning that she certainly grew up in the spotlight. These were during her years of being in school, which she remained in until 2012 when she opted to become homeschooled, finishing up in 2015.

During the time that she was still in her childhood years, Jenner started to get a lot of money thanks to endorsing products and also got into designing fashion products. This made Jenner very successful by the time that she was an adult, and her following on social media became massive. Because of this, there were more opportunities for Jenner to earn big bucks as she was making large sums to endorse products.

A lot of people like to give their friends gifts for their birthdays, but we usually give them a gift card or buy them a few drinks. When you’re worth as much as Jenner, though, you can afford some big ticket items for your best friends. In 2017, Jenner bought her best friend Jordyn Woods (who was featured on her reality television series) a brand new car. 

The luxury vehicle was a Mercedes-Benz AMG GLE 63 Coupe that was estimated to be around $100,000. Jenner didn’t mind going all out for Woods on her birthday. “It’s like a marriage for friends,” Jenner said. “I want people to know that we’re more than that. She’s my girlfriend. I care for her like I care for my girlfriend...All I want for Jordyn is to have all the success in the world and I want her to know that I’m always gonna be here to support her on whatever. I just think everything is happening perfectly for her.”

At the end of the day, it seems that the $100,000 that Jenner spent is just a drop in the bucket for her net worth. Thanks to starting up her own business called Kylie Cosmetics, it was estimated that Jenner became a billionaire at just 21 years old, making her the youngest to do so on a self-made basis, though there are some that dispute the actual meaning of the term.

On top of the appearances that she’s made on her family’s reality series and some of the spin-offs that have resulted, Jenner landed her own series in 2017. It was dubbed “Life of Kylie”, and debuted on the E! Network in 2017. However, the series wouldn’t latch on with the public like the flagship one, and was cancelled after just one season that aired eight episodes.

Still in her early 20s, Jenner is one of the busiest people in the world right now it seems. On top of being a reality star and a business mogul, she’s also a mother so she has a lot of hats that she wears. “I always knew I wanted to be a young mother,” she said. “I feel like I was definitely made for this and (my daughter Stormi)  has changed my life for the better. The way that I look at things is a lot more positive and I really feel like my life didn’t start until I had her.”

It’s also a life that’s been in the public eye for more than half of the time she’s been on earth. “I can’t remember the day when I didn’t have millions of people telling me their opinion on everything that I do, so I have no idea what it would be like for that not to happen,” she said. “It does get to me sometimes but I feel like God put me in this position because he knew that I could handle it.”

As for all of the success that she’s had, Jenner says that “I didn’t expect anything. I did not foresee the future. But (the recognition) feels really good. That’s a nice pat on the back...It’s the power of social media. I had such a strong reach before I was able to start anything.”
